What you just watched

Every quantity came from the real takeoff engine, not a mockup. The phone and contractor screens, the drawing sheet, the ledger events, the pricing example and the signature are stand-ins drawn for the tour.

Spec

One building spec: size, pitch, overhangs, colors, openings and options. The 3D picture and the bill are both built from it, so nothing is keyed in twice.

Frame

Every member placed where a crew would put it: columns on 8 ft bays (no post stands in a door opening, and only the posts that are drawn are billed), LVL carriers, trusses at 4 ft, girts at 24 in, and steel laid out from the gable peak.

Rules

The 151 rules in this yard's rule set count pieces, measure runs, lay out panels, add hardware per connection, assemble kits and work out the rest. A rule names the part, never a SKU, and every line keeps the parts it came from.

SKUs

The yard's house standard maps each part to an item in its own catalog. Steel builds its code from gauge and color, so in this yard's catalog a 29 ga Charcoal roof panel is P9CH.

Price

Each line is priced at the customer's price level, by the method the yard picks for that level. The estimate is withheld while any line is unpriced.

Deliver

The drawing set, a 3D link the customer can orbit, the contractor app (in beta) with its Send to supplier button, a binding in-app signature, and an export file for the yard's existing system.

Order

Pushing to a quote opens an order in quote status, locks in the takeoff rules that built it, and keeps the history from build to quote.
